iPad Head Girl Video

Remember those toon depictions of people who have bulky computer monitors as their heads? Yep, that just came true when a woman in New York City decided to wear four ipads as her headpiece and strut down Bryant Park last Monday.

Apple's iPad needs no introduction to the world. It's the most sought after tablet PC on Earth and doing extreme advertising like this is just, well, extreme. Watch the video below:

I don't know if you find this video funny or repulsive, but I want you to settle down for a while. This video looks like it was sponsored by the US Cosmopolitan Magazine, because near the end of the video, every page the man flipped on iPad Head Girl's head were from Cosmopolitan Magazine pages. That's a tell-tale sign that this was another viral advertisement aimed at heavy-iPad users, both men and women alike.

Personally, I think what you saw in the video is an advertisement within an advertisement. If you remove Cosmopolitan Magazine from the picture and consider this as a genuine captured footage for a while, a past imagination just became realized: Humans wearing computers as head accessories to advertise for companies. Heck, this could be the start of a new advertisement trend. Corporations can hire people to advertise for them via this setup for $10 bucks an hour. Imagine that, $10 just to walk around and wear an iPad helmet. The jobless would jump on this, they'll totally swallow their pride. Let's face it: The economy being as bad as it is right now, would making yourself look funny totally outweigh the need for money? Which is more important, pride or food? Yeah, I thought so.

I won't be surprised if other huge brands follow suit with this new racket. After all, this is just a modernized version of wearable board advertisements and mascots wooing you to buy things at their store.

'Till my next installment.
