This means that Coins, Star Bits, and the like can be collected by the second player. There's also some functionality in controlling Mario's jumps.

Extra Lives:
You start each game with only four lives. There following are five more lives in the Observatory that you can acquire:

1. On the moving green platform below the core.
2. Under the stairs leading to the kitchen.
3. Right at the top of the observatory(after unlocking the red star).
4. Underneath the entrance to the gateway to the stars(after unlocking the red star).
5. Next to the StarShroom in a crate.

Green Star Locations:

Battlerock Galaxy
After rescuing Luigi from the haunted mansion, he'll start helping you find power stars. The second star he finds is on Battlerock. Go rescue him and get the star.

Buoy Base Galaxy
As soon as you get there, dive underwater and get the underwater missiles to hit the cage blocking the green pipe. Head down there, and you'll pop up on the bottom side of the plane. There will be missile launchers everywhere, so make sure you have full health and good jumping skills. The star will be inside. Get a missile to hit it and you get your second green star.

Dusty Dune Galaxy
On the second level of Dusty Dune, where you start, right underneath is a Hungry Luma. Feed him the amount of star bits he wants, a new planet will form and a launch star will shoot you there. Now, you must collect all 5 silver stars. This part is like an elevator thing; you land on the button and you go up or down go in every direction you can until you have all 5 silver stars.

Easy owner points:

To easily gain owner points, play with a disc, ball, etc. Each time your dog gets it, call it over. When they come, pet it on the head for a few seconds. He or she should sparkle, giving you one or two owner points. Repeat as desired.

Easy items:
To easily get items, take your dog for a walk and have another accessory to change into. Try to go in as many "?" boxes as possible before you go to the park. As soon as you put the line into the park, go home. Go through your walk as normal, getting items, meeting dogs, etc., until you reach the park. Once you get to the park, go directly to "Accessories". Change your dogs accessories immediately, then tap "Back". The message "Saving: Don't Turn Off Power" should appear. After it is done saving, turn off the power. Turn it back on, and you will still have all the items collected, and can go for another walk.

Easier training:
When teaching your dog to sit, do not say "sit down", just say "sit". By doing this, when you teach it "lay down", it will not get confused. When teaching it to shake, do not say "shake". Instead, say "shake hands". By doing this, it will not get sit confused with shake.

More trick and competition opportunities:

Your dog can only learn a certain amount of tricks a day, while the same goes for competitions. To get additional chances at tricks and competitions, change the system date to to the previous day and set the time to 23:59. Exit the menu and turn off the DS. Immediately turn it back on and load the game. You will see the previous day and time shown. After one minute it will be an entire new day, allowing more tricks to be taught and competitions to be won. This can earn you more money if you win the competition. When you want to follow the normal order of things, just set the date and time back to the correct values.

Getting money:
To easily gain money, go on a lot of walks and get as many question marks as possible along the way. Then, go to the second hand store and sell all the items you do not want or your dogs you do not like. Some items are less then a dollar, but the amount adds up if you continue doing this. Additionally, when going out for walks, it is best to feed and give your dog water just before you go. By doing this, instead of your dog finding trash, they will be much more likely to find presents. You will see a white box with red ribbons around it. Try walking slow because you cannot go backwards. Touch it with the stylus. Your dog will bring it to you. These items are the ones that are worth more. The tri-color ribbon is worth ten dollars, and the Moai Statue is worth one hundred dollars.

Mario hat:
While walking your dog, find a Red Mario Hat at one of the question marks. Finish walking your dog, put on the Red Mario Hat.

RC helicopter:

Finding items:
While walking on the sidewalk, tap the floor and your dog will look and sometimes find an item. Also while walking your dog, there will be a question mark on almost every walk that is not illustrated on the map. When you see it on the touch screen take your dogs leash and drag your dog to the present. It will be a present or garbage that your dog should not eat.

Determining "?" box content"
When you find a "?" box during a walk, if you dog barks once, then it is a present; if it barks twice, it is another dog. Additionally, if you find a present wait until the dog runs off the screen. If it turns white, it will be a trainer. If it does not, it is a present.

Go to the Move Tutor, and Regigigas can learn all the punches.

Giratina (#487) - After getting the National Dex and defeating the Elite Four, go to the Spring Path off Route 214 that opened up. Go into the cave, and find your way to Giratina. It is a level 70 Ghost-Dragon type with powerful stats and moves. It learns Lucario's Aura Sphere for its final move at level 90.

Cresselia (#488) - Go to Canalave City, then go into Sailor Eldritch's house. There will be a boy in a bed and a woman. Its final move is at level 93, Dark Pulse; but its best move is Dark Void. It puts both enemy Pokemon to sleep with 90% accuracy.

Shaymin (#492) - Shaymin is only obtained through a hack or a special item from a licensed Nintendo event. Use the item to go to Flower Paradise to find Shaymin. You must capture it there. Arceus (#493) - Arceus is only obtained through a hack or a special item from a licensed Nintendo event. If you get this item, go to Spear Pillar's Hall Of Origin, and use it. It is either level 80 or 90. It has very good stats and is a Normal-type. Its ability allows it to change type, based on what Plate it is holding. For example, if it holds Dragon Plate, it is a Dragon-type. Its final skill is at 100, Judgment. Judgment's type is based on what plate you have equipped. It does 100 with 100 ACC and 10 PP.

Get all Pokemon:

However, you must to trade a Pokemon they want to get the Pokemon you want.

Easy National Dex Pokemon:

Easy experience:

To easily gain experience, spend money on any desired item. Then, go to the Pokemon League and fight the Elite Four until you lose. You will have gained, then lost a small amount of money, but your Pokemon might have leveled up. If not, level up. You can buy a lot of Revives and Potions to use to get to the last of the Elite Four and they might just be level up.

Hatching eggs quickly:

If you have a Pokemon with the Magma Armor or Flame Body ability in your party, it will cut the hatch time in half.

If you have a Pokemon egg and are waiting for it to hatch, it will hatch after 10,250 steps. The best place to get a lot of steps is in Amity Square. By doing this, you are able to collect something from the Pokemon that you are walking after every 200 steps.

In Solaceon Town, get on the far right side of the path next to the Pokecenter. Then, ride your bike in the fastest gear up and down until you hit a tree or mountain and repeat. You must have done at least 400 steps each "lap" to get an egg to hatch more quickly.

Hatching female Pokemon:
If you hatch an egg in Floaroma Town, it will always be a female unless it is a male only or genderless Pokemon, like Magnemite and Tauros.

Evolving Pokemon by trading:
To easily evolve Pokemon that can only be evolved by trading is to use the Global Trade Station . Fly to Jubilife City, and go to the Global Trade Station. Talk to the woman at the counter, save the game, and enter. Select "Deposit", then deposit the Pokemon that you wish to evolve. Request a Pokemon that is great such as level 100 female Piplups. Seek a desired Pokemon. Once you have found any Pokemon that you can trade for, trade it. After you have successfully made a trade, go to "Summary", and take back your Pokemon.
