Reyes Barbecue Christmas Party Group Package | Reyes Barbecue Pork BBQ & Butterscotch Banana

Well, next week is the official start of office and school Christmas parties nationwide. We got lots of people – from toddlers to office workers like me – who are looking forward to celebrating a decent party. There's the games and the drinks, but how about the food and desserts?

If you're always on the run and just don't have enough time for everything, say prepare a feast for dozens of people, the guys at Reyes Barbecue and Quick Delivery Philippines can answer for you.

See, I was recently informed of a new launching of theirs – the Pork BBQ Party Size, which can feed a hundred people (considering you allocate a stick each to each person) and the Butterscotch Banana Party Size, which I can say, is one of the more finer tasting things a person or a restaurant can do to a humble banana. Let's tackle their barbecue first.

At Filipino parties, barbecued pork is a staple. It's always around. Nevertheless, it shouldn't be just barbecue. It should be "The Barbecue." Sure, you can get barbecues anywhere: Streets, beerjoints, wherever. But if you're looking for "The Barbecue", try Reyes'. I tasted it first hand and let me just say, it was succulent, moist, tender, and not too burnt. It looks simple on the picture but wait until you get a bite of it. 100 pieces of this wonderful meat on a stick will set you back P2,400.00. I do guarantee you though that for its taste and quality, it's a bargain. What's more is, you can skip preparing barbecues yourself and save a lot of time and energy. Perfect for parties and gatherings.

After munching on Reyes' Pork BBQ, I'm pretty sure that you'll like this one more than your generic ice cream for dessert. Consider this if you're a health junky: It's healthier, it's tastier, and heck it sure carries less sugars and calories – the Butterscotch Banana.

Honestly, I don't know folks at Reyes Barbecue created something like this. It's like plain bananacue but 500% better and sans the stick. It's way too delicious, even my diabetic father chowed down four.

Usually when you see bananas like this, it's either fried or boiled. This one is in between. It's cooked with the skin on, but just stab your fork in one, sinks right on, very tender, and it magically peels off from the skin (I swear, it peels off magically) – proof that it's made with utmost supervision and expertise. And most of all, like I said twice now, it's indescribably delicious. No wonder it's always unavailable or out of stock or sold out. People at Bonifacio Global City can't get enough of these babies. No, seriously. This batch was especially made for me to try out. My friend over here wasn't as fortunate as me (Read his experience at Reyes Barbecue Bonifacio Global City). Costs P145.00 for a pack of ten.

At this point I'm sure that you've made up your mind on how many pieces of Pork BBQ and Butterscotch Bananas you'll order for your office party or for your kid's Christmas at school. Speaking of orders, you can directly order from the source or at any Reyes Barbecue chain since they are everywhere. OR, if you're out of the Metro and your local Reyes Barbecue chain doesn't deliver, you should call 212-1212 – that's Quick Delivery for you.

These guys at Quick Delivery are as competent as other delivery crews, maybe even better. Ring their number up and be answered by professional agents that are very friendly, sincere, and are good accented too. Frankly I was surprised at how good my agent's English accent was. Lovely female voice. And the best part: They'll call you back on your cellphone or land line if something turns up (see: Haywire) or if they need further clarifications on your order. They don't just deliver: They make sure that they deliver what you want on-time, anytime (they delivered me my Reyes Pork BBQ Party Package). And while you're at it, go check Quick Delivery's website. See their partner restaurants!

I'll be calling Reyes Barbecue or Quick Delivery up right now to reserve those Butterscotch Bananas if I were you. Remember this for next week: Less time preparing, more time partying.
