Hint: Practice Makes Perfect

Press the SELECT button on the loading screen to lock it into Practice Mode. Press it again after the machine is done loading to leave.

Hint: Taunt Variation

Press and hold the Taunt button to exhibit a different taunt from each character (Bayonetta, Jeanne, etc.).

Unlockable: Classic Afterburner and Space Harrier Music

You can listen to remixes of Afterburner and Space Harrier tunes in Chapter 8 Verse 3 and Chapter 14, but to hear the original tracks, hold down both LEFT BUMPER and LEFT TRIGGER (360) or L1 and L2 (PS3) just before these scenes (as the cutscene ends).

Cheat: Cheat List

After Verse 3 of Chapter 2, use one of the telephones in the plaza. The phone by the stairs can be used to input weapon codes, and the phone on the right can be used for accessories. The phone at the far end of the plaza is used to unlock characters. These codes require you to have a certain number of halos as well before they can be activated, these numbers are listed below. Use the D-pad to enter the codes.
Note -- once you input a correct cheat, the halos are automatically deducted from your account.

Unlockable: Weapons

The following weapons can be unlocked by performing the actions listed below:

• Bazillions (ray gun) - Beat Hard Mode
• Handguns - Beat Normal Mode
• Pillow Talk (lightsaber) - Beat Non-Stop Climax Mode
• Rodin - Purchase the Platinum Ticket for one million halos and defeat Father Rodin
• Sai-fon - Beat 100 chapters (meaning replaying chapters) on normal difficulty or higher
• Onyx Roses (shotguns) - Dropped as one part in chapter 1 after defeating an angel (Beloved). Visit the shop to unlock the weapon and be able to buy its alternate.
• Shuraba (sword) - Dropped as one part in chapter 2 after defeating two angels (Beloved). Visit the shop to unlock the weapon. You can only equip this weapon in Bayonetta's hand.
• Kulshedra (whip) - Assembled in two parts in chapter 3. The first part is dropped after defeating an angel (Fearless). The second portion is found in the verse after you acquire the panther form; fight past the first area and you will be in a small pool with a set of Witch Time statues. Drop into the water and turn left. There are some rocks hiding a chest with the second part.
• Durga (claws) - Assembled in three part in chapter 5. The first part is found by defeating angel mini-bosses at the start of the chapter (Grace and Glory). The second part is at the coiled serpent road (the crumbling road leading to the Staff of Jormungandr); when you start on it, turn to Bayonetta's right and grab the part from the chest (this becomes an Alfheim portal afterwards). The third part is halfway up the coiled snake road. There is a "resting" spot just before the road starts breaking apart. There is a chest at the rest area with this portion.
• Odette (skates) - Assembled in three parts in chapter 6. The first part is directly behind Bayonetta when the chapter starts. The second part is in the area with the angels called Inspired; a hidden wall in the second are with these enemies has this part. The third part is dropped by the angel (Joy) at the end of the chapter.
• Kilgore (launcher) - Assembled in three parts in chapter 9. The first part is past a wall with a sun symbol at the bottom of the floating ball; you can get locate the wall with the sun symbol before getting the second key (and rotating the ball). The second part is dropped by defeating the enemy warships (Kinship) near the astronomy device. The third part is found near the shop portal after escaping the Golem (metal sphere) on the crumbling road. From the shop portal, there is a holographic bridge going up; ignore the bridge and jump off the edge. There is another wall with a sun symbol in this area (where Bayonetta fought Fortitude in the flashback).

Unlockable: Accessories

You must purchase these accessories in Rodin's shop after unlocking them:

• Bangle of Time - Complete the game under 3 hours on Normal or Hard
• Climax Bracelet - Get 101 Umbran Tears of Blood
• Eternal Testimony - Get 50 Umbran Tears of Blood
• Immortal Marionette - Clear Very Easy or Easy mode

Unlockable: Characters

Perform the actions below to unlock the desired character. You can select the character in the New Game menu.

• Jeanne - Get a Platinum on everything (ALL) on Normal or unlock the Eternal Marionette accessory
• Little Zero - Beat the "Lost Chapter"

First you'll need to beat the game (all chapters, on Normal or harder difficulty). After that, load the cleared game data and go to the Gates of Hell. In the Rodin's Treasure menu you can purchase the following costumes. Press RB at the beginning of a chapter to access the Costume Change menu.
