New Title. New Champion. New Era.
As most of you might know by now, I’m very excited about the direction WWE is headed in. It’s an exciting time for the company, and I dare say it’s the dawn of a new era for WWE. To kick things off, Vince McMahon decided to crown a new WWE Champion on Raw, but set the match for next week due to “time constraints”. The big question is, will there actually be a new WWE Champion…since CM Punk is still walking around somewhere with the original championship around his waist?
I guess it’s logical to crown a new champion in the company, since without a title the superstars have nothing to fight for anymore. Plus, this gives Alberto Del Rio something to focus on with that briefcase in his hand. I guess it may be his Destiny after all. 
To be honest though, I see this match changing a lot before the actual event. Del Rio could get involved and this could become a Triple-Threat. CM Punk could show up in some form (via satellite, backstage, outside the arena with a speakerphone, etc) and disrupt the match from taking place. Or the match could take place and either Rey Mysterio or The Miz could become the new WWE Champion in this new era, which would be highly-controversial because neither of these guys defeated either the true champion, CM Punk, or the former champion John Cena to earn their new title.
Maybe somewhere down the line CM Punk will show up (December in Chicago?) and challenge the new WWE Champion. That’ll be one helluva match at WrestleMania next year if it were to happen. WWE Champion vs WWE Champion in a title unification match, to crown the Undisputed WWE Champion. Epic stuff.
There’s also talk about a new title belt. I hope to the heavens it’s a grand-looking beast of a belt and seriously, it’s about time they changed the look of the title. I never liked the current title. It always looks like it belongs to John Cena and John Cena alone, which to me isn’t fair.
Anyway, if this match is anything like the Raw matches we’ve seen over the last few weeks, it’s bound to be great. Both these guys can put on a good show, no doubt there. So get to downloading, get your resolution, and slap this wallpaper on your screens because no matter what goes down on Monday, it’ll be a history-making night in the WWE!
