SummerSlam 2011 is shaping up to be another must-see WWE PPV just like the previous MITB PPV. The reason for that is simple: CM Punk vs. John Cena for the WWE Championship and the winner would go on to be the Undisputed WWE Champion.

Download Christian “World Heavyweight Champion” Wallpaper

Now this has been a loooong time coming. I’m not talking about Christian’s reign as World Heavyweight Champion, I’m talking about there being a new wallpaper of Captain Charisma on this site. Geez, the last time we had one was when he was main-eventing TNA as leader of the Christian Coalition. But fear not Peeps (even though he “doesn’t care” about the fans anymore), what you see here is a brand new wallpaper of the man who showed us that the only way to defeat a Viper is by turning oneself into a Spitting Cobra, Christian!

New Title. New Champion. New Era.

As most of you might know by now, I’m very excited about the direction WWE is headed in. It’s an exciting time for the company, and I dare say it’s the dawn of a new era for WWE. To kick things off, Vince McMahon decided to crown a new WWE Champion on Raw, but set the match for next week due to “time constraints”. The big question is, will there actually be a new WWE Champion…since CM Punk is still walking around somewhere with the original championship around his waist?

I guess it’s logical to crown a new champion in the company, since without a title the superstars have nothing to fight for anymore. Plus, this gives Alberto Del Rio something to focus on with that briefcase in his hand. I guess it may be his Destiny after all.

To be honest though, I see this match changing a lot before the actual event. Del Rio could get involved and this could become a Triple-Threat. CM Punk could show up in some form (via satellite, backstage, outside the arena with a speakerphone, etc) and disrupt the match from taking place. Or the match could take place and either Rey Mysterio or The Miz could become the new WWE Champion in this new era, which would be highly-controversial because neither of these guys defeated either the true champion, CM Punk, or the former champion John Cena to earn their new title.

Maybe somewhere down the line CM Punk will show up (December in Chicago?) and challenge the new WWE Champion. That’ll be one helluva match at WrestleMania next year if it were to happen. WWE Champion vs WWE Champion in a title unification match, to crown the Undisputed WWE Champion. Epic stuff.

There’s also talk about a new title belt. I hope to the heavens it’s a grand-looking beast of a belt and seriously, it’s about time they changed the look of the title. I never liked the current title. It always looks like it belongs to John Cena and John Cena alone, which to me isn’t fair.

Anyway, if this match is anything like the Raw matches we’ve seen over the last few weeks, it’s bound to be great. Both these guys can put on a good show, no doubt there. So get to downloading, get your resolution, and slap this wallpaper on your screens because no matter what goes down on Monday, it’ll be a history-making night in the WWE!

CM Punk = EPIC.

Right from the start of the main event, the crowd was electric for this one. CM Punk, the hometown hero, had the crowd on his hand. Make no mistake about it, the atmosphere wasn’t just because it was a Chicago homecoming for Punk, but because he got everyone’s attention ever since he cut that shoot promo on RAW 3 weeks ago. People were excited to see what will happen on his title match against John Cena and what do you know, both competitors delivered possibly the match of the year. This wasn’t a WrestleMania match but it was probably heaps better than the whole WrestleMania 27 event. It reminded me and most of the older fans how the Attitude era constantly produced these kind of electricity and matches (well, maybe not so much on the matches) weekly and on PPVs. I think we can all thank CM Punk for that. He brought fire to my/our idle passion for wrestling again.

Now that he has become WWE Champion, I think we can safely say that he has been resigned by WWE..but he will still take that much needed vacation. When he comes back, we all know he will be ready to rock the house again, and most likely, for the long haul.

And still be the best in the world.

Download NEW CM Punk “Revolution” Wallpaper!

CM Punk had the wrestling world in a tremendous buzz this past week on RAW. His (worked) shoot promo at the end of the show was one of the best wrestler promos I’ve ever seen in my life. It was brutally honest yet still a bit controlled/contained. Too bad WWE quickly pulled the plug when Punk was about to tell a personal story about Vince.

His co-workers, co-wrestlers – friends or enemies (Kurt Angle) gave him nothing but praise, except for The Rock. Dwayne retaliated by saying he’s on the main event of WrestleMania 28 because he can draw more money in one night than Punk can draw in his whole lifetime. To a certain extent, that may be true, for now. There’s no telling if CM Punk can use this momentum he has right now, stay in WWE, and then who knows maybe in a year or two, he’ll be the new top face of the company. His own one-man revolution right now could be a money maker for WWE on the near future, especially if he feuds with hopefully-soon-to-be heel Cena and McMahon on MITB PPV. The reversal of roles would be kind of similar to Bret Hart and Stone Cold Steve Austin before. It would then mark a new era in WWE, though Cena is totally dominating everything right now, from PG programming to winning matches in Superman fashion. CM Punk may not be the best to some, but he’s definitely better than John Cena. Here’s hoping WWE will pull out a swerve and retain CM Punk for the long haul. Let him roll with the ball and we’ll know whether he can back up his words or not. I think it’ll be the former.

It’s pretty obvious why this wallpaper is here right now. In case you’re unsure, it’s because CM Punk sent the shockwave of a magnitude 9 earthquake through not only WWE, but pro-wrestling itself with his groundbreaking closing segment of Raw this past Monday. CM Punk now has what only a select few have in the business, and that’s a defining moment. Just like Stone Cold had his “Austin 3:16” speech that sparked an era and made him the biggest, baddest sonffabitch on the planet, CM Punk’s revolutionary-like promo has turned him into a certified legend.

“The only thing that’s real is me, and the fact that day in and day out, for almost six years, I’ve proved to everybody in the world that I am the best on this microphone, in that ring, and even on commentary. Nobody can touch me.” ~ CM Punk

WWE Magazine said on Twitter that the atmosphere backstage is ‘edgy‘. And why wouldn’t it be? CM Punk called out a lot of people that night, and I’m sure there are tons more who hate his guts now. Which is awesome for Punk because I’m pretty sure the man feeds off the attention and the energy and walks like a very real, very dangerous, very vocal threat in the locker room. Despite the fact that he lashed out at the fans who cheer for him as well, all I’ve been chanting since Monday is “This is awesome!“.

The best part about this whole angle is that whatever Punk said was not scripted. Nothing was set-up. He went out there and verbally killed a dozen people before WWE shut him off. Things like this never happen, not in WWE. So when it does, and when it happens thanks to CM Punk, I just can’t help but mark-out.

This wallpaper was made because it had to be made, right now! There’s just no better time. It’s as direct to the face as Punk is. It says very clearly that Punk is “The Best Wrestler In The World“. You’ll also find familiar ‘faces’ in the wallpaper who have fallen victim to Punk’s whip-of-words. If or not you like CM Punk is irrelevant, because this wallpaper isn’t just for Punk, it’s one for history being made in WWE. Punk raised the bar for controversy last Monday. Whether or not there are those who dare follow in his lead is something we’re going to have to wait and see. Always remember what CM Punk did on Monday night, because people are going to be talking about it for a very, very long time. Download and enjoy, all!

Some might say the current holders of the 2 major titles in WWE shouldn’t be the ones holding them right now. Some say it should be The Miz. Some say Christian. Well, I say these 2 are the rightful holders, based on what they can do to elevate up and coming main eventers like Christian, Miz, R-Truth and Alberto Del Rio. Anytime you beat these 2 future WWE Legends for their titles will always solidify the challengers’ spots on the main event scene. John Cena and Randy Orton, like them or not, will always be solid choices in building talent pushes and it only helps those guys when they’re challenging Cena or Orton for their respective titles.

Download Sin Cara “Luchador Redefined” Wallpaper!

Behold The Faceless One.

Sin Cara has been on a massive push ever since he made his much-anticipated debut on Raw a few months ago. He has since moved to SmackDown!, but his push hasn’t slowed down. If anything, it’s surprisingly consistent! There’s even talk backstage that Sin Cara may become the new face of WWE in the near future, sharing poster space with guys like John Cena, Randy Orton, and his veteran counterpart and possible future opponent, Rey Mysterio.

I can’t remember the last time I watched a push this big. The entire arena turns to shades of red, gold, and blue throughout the entirety of Sin Cara’s match. That’s extremely rare, even among the biggest WWE names. And now rumors are circulating that the reason the luchador Averno is being brought into the company is because he fits Sin Cara’s in-ring wrestling style. That’s huge! The best part about this whole scenario is that I really like Sin Cara and from what we’ve seen the WWE fans seem to like him too. He’s a larger-than-life character, which is exactly what WWE has been lacking for a while now, and just what it needs to elevate its brand. His transition into WWE’s in-ring style are still a little ‘botchy’ and not really as awe-inspiring as I expected, but it’s obvious that he’s improving his technique with every match. He’s getting faster, he’s hitting harder, and if he keeps this up he’ll soon learn to wrestle as both a luchador AND a WWE superstar, making him rank in-line with guys like Rey Mysterio, and maybe even Alberto Del Rio.

I wouldn’t mind seeing Sin Cara grow into a massive name in the company. In fact I’d love to see him become a main-event name at WrestleMania. A match between him and Rey Mysterio in about two years has the potential of being an epic show-stealer. I’m sure as he gains popularity he’ll change his standard blue-gold attire into different variations, making him an instant hit among fans and an extremely marketable WWE Superstar for the money-makers backstage. I also hope WWE gets rid of that ridiculous trampoline entrance that they keep making him do. It’s a major botch just waiting to happen, and when it does it won’t be pretty.

Here’s a first on the Unchained Wrestling Network. It’s a wallpaper of the international sensation, Sin Cara titled “Luchador Redefined“, which is essentially what I think he’ll become if he keeps working at merging his superb in-ring abilities with WWE’s style of wrestling. The wallpaper draws inspiration from Sin Cara’s mythical, mystical entrance video. Download and enjoy, all! Download NEW Alex Riley Wallpaper!

Look who has turned face BIG TIME! Honestly, I didn’t see this one coming anytime soon at all. I thought Alex Riley would stick around with The Miz for a little bit longer even after he got berated but alas, here he is right now, on a major roll. His alliance with The Awesome One has truly benefited A-Ry. He’s lookin’ good and strong right now by totally annihilating his former employer for two weeks straight already. Who wouldn’t want to trash an asshole boss after you making you his/her bitch? This formula works especially when you build up the association of those two persons on a long term basis and then boom, the big payoff happens when you least expect it. This Alexy Riley-Miz feud is money. Hopefully this will propel A-Ry to the next level, not necessarily the main event level right away but definitely a notch higher than where he’s at right now.

Alex Riley is coming into his own and I’m excited for him to get his character going. Where he goes from here, I dunno. The sky’s the limit though for this young WWE Superstar. Probably make him a more badass face like Orton, using his temper and mean streak to beat the top heels on the RAW brand. The next few weeks will determine whether A-Ry is up to the challenge of being a bigger star or not. I’m betting he’ll do just fine.

Download John Cena “Never Give Up” Wallpaper

The Champ Is Here!

John Cena is the WWE Champion again. If you’re a Cena fan, good for you because your hero is once again the top superstar (alongside Randy Orton) in WWE. For those who are against the red-clad warrior, it’s better if you learn to live with it because you’re going to be seeing Cena hold that championship for a looooong time. Lets say, till WrestleMania 28next year in Miami Florida!

Lets assume that Cena does drop the belt somewhere down the line, be assured that he’ll win it before he heads into the biggest match of his career against The Rock on the Grandest Stage of Them All. If you think about it, there are not many people on the Raw roster who are major opponents for Cena at the moment. Orton’s over on SmackDown!, more focused on retaining his own championship, whereas guys like Triple H and The Undertaker are on indefinite hiatus…some even say officially retired. If you think R-Truth is going to beat Cena anytime soon, you have got to be kidding yourself. Remember that John Cena may be destined to beat The Rock (although I really hope The Rock wins), one of the most iconic superstars in WWE history, so I doubt WWE will have R-Truth of all people beat Cena first. If it does happen, it’ll be a “fluke” thanks to a Scramble or Fatal-4-Way stipulation. The Miz’s focus is on Alex Riley (who has recently turned into a badass of sorts). The two guys who I can think of as legitimate threats to Cena’s reign are CM Punk and Alberto Del Rio, but at the same time they could just be long-term opponents and not WWE Champions till after WM28.

Anyway, here’s a new wallpaper featuring John Cena in his brand new red Never Give Upattire (which seems to be as popular as the two previous sets of clothing he had)! It’s a sequel to last year’s Never Give Up wallpaper. Major thanks to cenaviper and VKM for the hi-res pose of The Champ. This one’s for all the members of Cenation out there. To be honest, I hope Cena does keep the WWE Championship all the way to WrestleMania 28. It’ll make what is already an epic match into the stuff legends are made of. Download and enjoy, Cenation!

Download ‘Macho Man’ Randy Savage “The Madness Will Live On” Wallpaper !

Macho Madness Will Live Forever!

You can read the following words in your own Macho Man voice if you’d like. It’s pretty awesome to do.

If you’ve ever witnessed a promo courtesy of the Macho Man, you know why he is, to this day, one of the most iconic superstars in wrestling history. Arguably one of the greatest wrestlers / performers / entertainers of all time, Randy Savage is a world-renowned name thanks to the mecca days of pro-wrestling back in the 80′s and early 90′s, which he helped carry on his shoulders and build. Savage transcended sports-entertainment and became a pop-culture legend. When news broke out about his untimely, tragic passing yesterday, media websites that had nothing to do with wrestling picked it up and paid tribute in their own ways. Movie websites wrote articles about him, celebrities Tweeted about him, music websites streamed his entrance music, and sports websites have put up timelines and tribute videos to remember the Macho King. That’s how truly awesome he was as a superstar.

It’s not easy to digest news this bad. Superstars in the 80′s are like superheroes; you see them as larger than life and never believe that anything bad could ever happen to them. I always hoped to see Randy Savage back in WWE soon, especially since he was slowly getting back with the company by doing Mattel action figures and working with THQ on the WWE All-Stars videogame. I didn’t expect him to ever wrestle again but always thought he’d have one more promo to cut in front a live audience. WWE should have inducted him into the Hall Of Fame sometime last year or this year despite their differences. I guess that’s what happens when you’re more interested in giving Drew Carrey a slot to promote his new show than actually honoring those who have sacrificed blood, sweat, and health to pave the way for so many of today’s superstars. But enough about that.

If you have never seen the Macho Man perform, I suggest you start with his match atWrestleMania 3 against Ricky “The Dragon” Steamboat. It is, to this day, one of the most technically perfect and most highly entertaining matches of all time. It’s never too late to get into the Macho Madness! Go to YouTube and search for his most memorable promos. See what he did as a heel that fans loved to hate, and then watch as he became one of the most cheered superstars of that era. Watch how Randy Savage made “Ooooooh Yeeeeah” into one of the most talked-about catchphrase in entertainment. Maybe even re-watch his cameo in the first Spider-Man movie as Bonesaw McGraw! It’s safe to say that there will never be another quite as unique as the Macho Man Randy Savage. If you were lucky enough to watch him in his era, good for you. If you missed it, it’s never too late to start. For now though, if you’d like to celebrate the life and legacy of the legendary Randy Savage, download this wallpaper in whichever size fits your screen best. Big thanks to VKM for the iconic shot of Savage. It’s a wallpaper to celebrate his life, so there are no dates and no sentimental messages. Just Savage sporting some insane attire and being his charismatic, energetic, entertaining self. “Ooooooh Yeeeeeaaahh!!”
