WWE SmackDown! Tapings Results - 8/26/11

Bret Hart opens the show and will be tonight's guest General Manager. Bret said he made the decision to take SmackDown live next Tuesday night and announces Mark Henry vs. Randy Orton for the World Title. Christian comes out and blames Edge for his loss at SummerSlam. Christian wants a rematch against Orton next Tuesday. Bret called Christian an embarrassment to Canada. Christian had a court order that says he gets his title shot before anyone else. Bret makes Christian vs. Orton in a Steel Cage for Tuesday. Mark Henry comes out and he's upset. Henry wants the winner of Orton vs. Christian and wants his title shot. Sheamus appears and says he's going to do something his uncle did once - castrate a black bull. Sheamus cleared Henry from the ring and then they re-filmed the whole Sheamus/Henry deal.

* Christian defeated Daniel Bryan with the Killswitch.

* Wade Barrett came out to face a local wrestler. Barrett talks about what he's done in WWE and says he won't face a local wrestler like this guy. Barrett said this is an embarrassment and left.

* Sin Cara defeated Heath Slater after a bad match. They had to re-film the ending because it was botched too bad.

* Cody Rhodes and Ted DiBiase came out. Cody talked about how he is going to resurrect the Intercontinental Title.

* Randy Orton beat Ted DiBiase with the RKO in a good match. After the match Cody hit DiBiase with CrossRhodes and put a brown paper bag over his head.

* Kelly Kelly defeated Tamina.

* Segment with Jinder Mahal and The Great Khali.

* Ezekiel Jackson defeated The Great Khali with the torture rack.

* Randy Orton appeared on the big screen and wondered how many times he has to face Christian after the cage match was advertised for Tuesday night.

* Sin Cara beat Heath Slater again. They re-did the whole match and it was significantly better than the first.

* Sheamus beat Mark Henry by count out after putting Henry into the announcer's table. After the match, Henry hit a World's Strongest Slam on Sheamus and the steel steps.

WWE SmackDown Tapings Results - 8/19/11

SmackDown, Airing Friday:

* Tonight's main event will be a 20-man battle royal to crown a new #1 contender to Randy Orton's World Heavyweight Title.

* Cody Rhodes defeats Ezekiel Jackson with the Intercontinental Title on the line.

* Justin Gabriel beat Tyson Kidd in an exciting match, with the 450 splash.

* WWE Champion Alberto Del Rio defeated Daniel Bryan in a non-title match, by submission.

* WWE Divas Champion Kelly Kelly and AJ Lee defeated Alicia Fox and Natalya.

* Mark Henry won a battle royal to become the new #1 contender to the World Heavyweight Title. The match came down to Henry, Sheamus, Wade Barrett and Sin Cara. Henry ended up eliminating Sin Cara in the end to win. SmackDown ends with Henry and Randy Orton staring each other down.

WWE SmackDown Tapings Results - 8/12/11

* Triple H opens the show and announces Randy Orton vs. The Great Khali, Daniel Bryan vs. Alberto Del Rio and Cody Rhodes vs. Ezekiel Jackson with the Intercontinental Title on the line for tonight. World Heavyweight Champion Christian comes out and wants to talk to the WWE COO. Christian threatens to sue Triple H if he doesn't change the SummerSlam match against Randy Orton. Triple H says Christian has no respect and will still face Orton on Sunday and be in action tonight.

* Sheamus beat Christian by count out. Christian walked off and stood at the ramp as the referee counted him out.

* Natalya and Beth Phoenix beat AJ Lee and Kaitlyn. Face pop for Beth and Natalya here. Beth pinned AJ while Natalya put Kaitlyn in the Sharpshooter.

* Backstage segment with Ted DiBiase and Cody Rhodes arguing with Teddy Long. Zack Ryder and Aksana are there.

* Backstage segment with Mark Henry and Johnny Curtis.

* Sin Cara beat Tyson Kidd in a decent match. Hard to tell if Cara is someone else under the mask. Cara came out to a huge reaction.

* Alberto Del Rio beat Daniel Bryan by submission in a great match. Cheers for Del Rio and Ricardo Rodriguez before the match. Wade Barrett came out and attacked Bryan after the match.

* Cody Rhodes beat Ezekiel Jackson to become the new WWE Intercontinental Champion after hitting Cross Rhodes.

* Backstage segment with Randy Orton talking about SummerSlam and tonight's match.

* Mark Henry beat Johnny Curtis. Sheamus came out after the match and confronted Henry.

* Randy Orton beat The Great Khali after an RKO. Christian came out and taunted Orton after the match, saying he's the best thing going.

* Sheamus vs. Mark Henry is announced for SummerSlam and Sheamus vs. The Great Khali is announced for tonight.

* Sheamus beat The Great Khali.

* Natalya beat AJ Lee and turned heel.

* Daniel Bryan debuts a new theme song before facing Tyson Kidd.

* Zack Ryder brings out WWE Intercontinental Champion Ezekiel Jackson but is interrupted by Ted DiBiase and Cody Rhodes. Teddy Long interrupts them and announces Ryder vs. Zeke.

* Ezekiel Jackson beat Zack Ryder.

* Ryder is now apparently known as Dwight Schrut, Assistant to the GM unless I missed something. Triple H came out, had the cameras cut off and hit Ryder with a Pedigree.

* Teddy Long had a new Diva assistant it looks like.

* Mark Henry squashes Vladimir Kozlov and beats him up until Sheamus makes the save.

* David Otunga, Michael McGillicutty and JTG beat The Usos and Trent Baretta.

* Main event time with Randy Orton and John Morrison vs. Christian and R-Truth. Truth and Christian get the win after Christian pins Orton.

WWE SmackDown Tapings Results - 7/29/11

* Triple H opens the show and announces he re-signed CM Punk to a WWE contract. Christian comes out and it's announced he will defend the World Heavyweight Title against Randy Orton in a No Holds Barred match at SummerSlam. R-Truth comes out and wants to talk conspiracies with Triple H. Triple H makes Truth vs. Orton for tonight and Christian vs. John Morrison up next.

* Christian beat John Morrison.

* Wade Barrett comes out to talk about Daniel Bryan. Bryan comes out and threatens to make Barrett tap. Barrett hits him and taunts him with the Money in the Bank briefcase. Bryan gets the upperhand and makes Barrett tap to the LaBell Lock.

* Backstage segment with Teddy Long and Zack Ryder. Mark Henry comes in and Ryder is going to find an opponent for Henry.

* Alicia Fox, Rosa Mendes and Tamina beat Kaitlyn, AJ Lee and Natalya.

* Mark Henry beat Bobby Howard, a local independent wrestler. Howard had Zack Ryder with him. Teddy Long comes out and says nobody wants to face Henry anymore and they don't need another lawsuit. This brings out Sheamus who says he isn't afraid of Henry. Sheamus tosses Henry over the ropes, grabs a chair and Henry leaves.

* Triple H appoints Zack Ryder as Teddy Long's assistant backstage.

* WWE Tag Team Champions Michael McGillicutty and David Otunga beat The Usos.

* Backstage promo with Johnny Curtis. He will be debuting on SmackDown next week.

* Justin Gabriel video package.

* Backstage interview with Matt Striker and R-Truth with Truth talking about his match against Randy Orton.

* Backstage, Zack Ryder puts Ezekiel Jackson in a handicap match against Cody Rhodes and Ted DiBiase.

* Cody Rhodes and Ted DiBiase beat WWE Intercontinental Champion Ezekiel Jackson in a handicap match.

* The Great Khali and Jinder Mahal appear on the second level of the arena and cut a promo in Punjabi.

* R-Truth beat Randy Orton by DQ when Orton used a chair as Christian watched the match from the ramp. After the match, Orton hit the RKO on Truth, putting him through the announcer's table.

WWE SmackDown! Tapings Results - 7/22/11

* SmackDown opens with Randy Orton sitting on a chair in the ring with the mic. He talks about the current state of the WWE. He calls out Christian and here comes the World Heavyweight Champion. Christian says Randy needs to work on his anger problem. They go back and forth for a bit, until Orton gets pissed and heads up the ramp only to be stopped by Teddy Long. Long says Randy will get a rematch but not tonight as he's already agreed to face Kane in a street fight. He asks Orton to be the bigger man and walk away but Orton goes for Christian. The officials restrain him and Long informs Christian he'll be facing Ezekiel Jackson after the break.

* World Champion Christian beat Intercontinental Champion Ezekiel Jackson with the Killswitch after a back and forth match with mixed crowd reaction for Christian. Anyone remember when these two faced off for who would be remembered as the last ever ECW Champion? Me neither.

* Michael Cole is in the ring and invites SmackDown's Mr. Money in the Bank, Daniel Bryan out. He comes out and Cole rips him for a while. Bryan says he doesn't care what Cole thinks. Bryan talks about the physical sacrifices he's made to get to the WWE. Bryan says he's going to the first champion to announce when he's going to cash in ahead of time because apparently he's never heard of Rob Van Dam. He announces he's cashing in April 1st in Miami at WrestleMania and fulfill his lifetime dream. Out comes Heath Slater for some unfathomable reason. He gives a heel promo and they start a match. I'm guessing there will be commercials during this match.

* Daniel Bryan beat Heath Slater with some submission move I didn't recognize (not the LaBelle Lock). This was a pretty decent match considering Heath Slater was involved. The crowd liked Bryan but Heath's involvement minimized crowd reaction somewhat.

* Matt Striker interviews Mark Henry backstage. Mark Henry says he has no regrets and everyone should fear him.

* Wade Barrett and Sheamus went to a double count out. They continued brawling after the match and eventually ended up back in the ring where Barrett ate a Brogue Kick. Seemed like Sheamus may be in the midst of a slow face turn.

* Kane gives a backstage promo saying he'll use Randy Orton to kill his humanity and be a monster again.

* Randy Orton beat Kane in a street fight after an RKO onto a chair. Match saw Kane kick out of an RKO and Randy kick out of a chokeslam. Crowd was much more into this match than anything preceding it. Afterward Kane offered his hand and Randy shook it. Kane looked devastated by the loss.

Mark Henry came out and attacked Kane, doing the splash onto the chair around the ankle that he did to Big Show at MITB. Refs came to check on Kane and I assume this was the end of the TV taping.

WWE SmackDown! Tapings Results - 7/15/11

Michael Cole, Booker T, and Josh Mathews came out for WWE Smackdown. Josh went to the ring rather than the announcers' table.

Smackdown opens with World champion Randy Orton being interviewed by Josh Mathews inside the ring. He discusses his match against Christian at Money in the Bank. Christian appears on the Titantron and says he will become champion again. Christian says that Orton's father was a joke and he's just as pathetic as Cowboy Bob Orton. Orton says what is pathetic is Christian holding the title for five days.

Ezekiel Jackson defeated Ted DiBiase to retain the Intercontinental Title. The end came when DiBiase went for Dream Street, which Zeke turned into the Torture Rack for the submission win.

Daniel Bryan vs. Cody Rhodes is up next.

Backstage, Ted DiBiase was looking disappointed. Cody entered and handed him the paper bag. He said he would give him one more chance, but if he loses again he will personally come to the ring and put the bag over his head.

Cody Rhodes defeated Daniel Bryan.

Teddy Long tells a referee to warn Mark Henry and Big Show that if there is any physicality between the two when they have a face to face later, their match at the PPV will be canceled.

Kane comes into Long's office and thanks him for the match against Randy Orton. Kane says he doesn't feel like a monster anymore and asks Long what is happening to him. Long tells Kane that he's scaring the hell out of him.

Wade came down to join the announce table and now I notice josh is there too, oops.

Jinder was shown in the back getting pissed at a camera man.

Backstage, someone has spraypainted Randy Orton's private bus with "ORTON SUX. TEDDY LONG = MORON. CHRISTIAN = UNCROWNED WORLD CHAMPION." Christian comes across it and acts shocked and says he can't imagine anyone would do this.

Sin Cara defeated Sheamus. Sheamus dominated in the beginning, but after Sin Cara's 20 millionth reversal, he reversed Celtic Cross into a roll up and won via pinfall. After the match, Barrett laid out Sheamus.

Christian was shown walking around the casino and claimed he found Orton's wallet. He took out $1,000 and bet it on No. 1 on a roulette table, because according to Orton's ID his birthday is April 1. "There is a joke there somewhere," says Christian. The ball landed on 20. "Looks like your lucks running out," Christian said.

Teddy made his way down for the face off. Big Show entered the ring. Henry stayed on the ramp and they did their smack talk. Henry tried to enter the ring, but Teddy got in the way and said to save it for Sunday.

Kelly Kelly beat Rosa Mendes. Loud pops for Kelly, as I guess no one expected to see her here.

Johnny Curtis promo backstage. He says soon, the cat will be out of the bag, but pulls an elephant out of it and yells at an assistant in the room. He tells the man that the elephant in the room isn't until next week and rips up the stuffed animal.

Justin Gabriel defeated Heath Slater. Slater missed a top rope moonsault. Gabriel hit his 450 splash and got the pinfall victory.

Kane defeated Randy Orton via count out. 30 seconds into the match, Christian walked onto the ramp to watch the match. Orton went for an RKO, Kane reversed it and clotheslined Orton out. Christian walked down the ramp got orton to chase him around the ring to give Kane a victory via count out.

Spoiler:WWE SmackDown Tapings Results - 7/8/11

* The show opens with the Money in the Bank participants in the ring being interviewed. Sheamus cleans house with a chair and wants revenge for being punted out of a title shot. Christian comes out and says at Money in the Bank, he will get his rematch against Orton and if Orton gets DQ'd or the ref makes a bad call, Christian automatically wins the title. Sheamus vs. Christian is announced for tonight.

* Cody Rhodes and Ted DiBiase beat Ezekiel Jackson and Daniel Bryan.

* Angry promo with Mark Henry.

* Jinder Mahal beat Trent Baretta with The Great Khali on commentary.

* AJ Lee defeated Tamina.

* Mark Henry beat Kane. Good showing by Henry, he's been very aggressive all night.

* The Usos beat Heath Slater and Justin Gabriel. Lots of hype for the Usos here.

* Sin Cara beat Tyson Kidd. Another good match.

* Randy Orton and Sheamus go to a double disqualification in the main event as Christian attacked them both. Orton ends up with the upperhand, taking them both out. 

WWE SmackDown Tapings Results - 7/1/11

Dark Match:

* Derrick Bateman beat Johnny Curtis

SmackDown:

* The show opens with the Money in the Bank briefcase hanging high. Mark Henry vs. Randy Orton is announced with Christian banned from ringside by Teddy Long. Christian wants a rematch against Orton at the pay-per-view.

* Randy Orton beat Mark Henry by count out. Big Show's music hit, distracted Henry and allowed Orton to hit an RKO on the floor for the count out. Henry went nuts at the production area and tore the place up.

* Daniel Bryan beat Ted DiBiase by submission. There is no music right now because of Henry trashing the production area.

* Christian approaches Teddy Long in the back and wants a title shot. Teddy makes Christian vs. Sin Cara tonight for Christian playing Big Show's music earlier.

* Backstage segment - Cody Rhodes is upset with Ted DiBiase.

* Christian defeated Sin Cara in a decent match. Christian won with the spear. A contract signing between Christian and Orton will take place later in the show.

* Cody Rhodes beat Ezekiel Jackson in a non-title match with help from Ted DiBiase.

* Backstage segment with Johnny Curtis that didn't make much sense.

* Kane beat Wade Barrett with a chokeslam. This looked like a match betweenMoney in the Bank participants because they kept focusing on the briefcase but didn't announce anything yet.

* Teddy Long calls out Randy Orton and Christian for their contract signing. Christian brings a lawyer with him. It's in the contract that if the referee makes a bad call, he gets another rematch. Orton is all business here on the mic. Orton signed the contract and before Christian does, Sheamus attacks Orton from behind. Sheamus also laid Christian out and destroyed the contract to end the show.

Spoiler:WWE Raw 7/4/11 Results!

Rey Mysterio vs. Alberto Del Rio vs. R-Truth is announced for tonight in a #1 contender's match for the WWE Title at Money in the Bank. Alex Riley vs. The Miz is also announced.

* John Cena comes out and says Punk has been stripped of the match at MITB. Cena says they are going to act as if Punk never existed in WWE. Cena isn't happy with what happened but says Punk has a right to say what he wants. Cena wants answers from Vince McMahon and wants them tonight and he wants Punk at the pay-per-view.

* Kelly Kelly and Eve Torres beat The Bella Twins.

* R-Truth is backstage upset about having to compete in a #1 contender's match tonight. Alberto Del Rio appears and tells Truth that it's his destiny.

* David Otunga and Michael McGillicutty beat Santino Marella and Vladimir Kozlov. Zack Ryder appeared on the stage after the match, did the "woo woo you know it" and left.

* Backstage interview with The Miz upset about not being in the #1 contender's match tonight.

* Jack Swagger beat Sgt. Slaughter. Swagger put the ankle lock on after the match until Evan Bourne made the save. Slaughter led us in the Pledge of Allegiance for the 4th of July.

* Alberto Del Rio beat R-Truth and Rey Mysterio by making Rey submit to become the new #1 contender to the WWE Title.

* Dolph Ziggler and Vickie Guerrero come out. Vickie is throwing a party for the United States Champion Ziggler since it's the birthday of the United States. KofiKingston comes out and fights with Ziggler. Vickie gets pushed into a cake.

* Alex Riley beat The Miz with a roll up. After the match, Miz got mad and attacked Riley, beat him down and hit him with the ring steps. Miz then threw Riley into the announcer's table, kicked him in the face and left.

* Vince McMahon comes out and talks about CM Punk, saying he deserved to be suspended. John Cena comes out and asks Vince if Punk got under his skin. Cena wants answers. Vince couldn't risk Punk taking the WWE Title to anothercompany. Vince told Cena to not be like Hulk Hogan and be a man. Vince says it doesn't matter what anyone wants, CM Punk is gone.

Cena says if he can't wrestle Punk, then he's gone and hands Vince the belt. Vince stops him and says here Cena is walking out on him like everyone else has. Vince reinstates Punk but if Cena loses at Money in the Bank, he's fired.

WWE SmackDown Tapings Results - 6/24/11

* Teddy Long came out to talk about the finish of Randy Orton vs. Christian at Capitol Punishment. Christian comes out and wants another title shot. Long is going to make him earn it and announces Christian vs. Kane in a #1 contender's match.

* Sin Cara beat Ted DiBiase Jr.

* Cody Rhodes beats Daniel Bryan. Bryan showed a pic of Dusty Rhodes on the big screen before the match and said looks aren't everything.

* Backstage segment with Johnny Curtis in catering, "cutting the mustard."

* Backstage interview with Big Show. Show is talking about revenge on Mark Henry when Henry sends him crashing through the set.

* WWE IC Champion Ezekiel Jackson beat Wade Barrett.

* Interview with Randy Orton where he talks about beating Christian again if he's the #1 contender.

* Wade Barrett runs into Heath Slater and Justin Gabriel backstage. They laugh at him for losing to Zeke.

* Justin Gabriel and Heath Slater beat The Usos.

* Yoshi Tatsu vs. Jinder Mahal is about to begin but Mahal attacks Tatsu beforethe match. Mahal says he and The Great Khali are ready to dominate and Khali is done kissing fat women.

* Christian vs. Kane ended in a DQ when Mark Henry attacked Kane. Randy Orton came out to help and Teddy Long made it a tag match. It came down to Orton hitting the RKO on Christian. Henry then pinned Orton, giving Christian and his team the win and Christian the title shot at the Money in the Bank pay-per-view.

WWE SmackDown Tapings Results - 6/17/11

* Randy Orton opens the show and says his concussion won't stop him from beating Christian at Capitol Punishment. Teddy Long comes out and reminds Orton that he can't compete tonight. Christian came out and played the heel role. Sheamus is out next and he vs. Christian is announced for tonight. If Sheamus wins, he gets put in the PPV match making it a triple threat.

* Wade Barrett, Ted DiBiase and Cody Rhodes vs. Sin Cara, Ezekiel Jackson and Daniel Bryan is up next. Sin Cara's team wins in a rematch from RAW.

* Backstage segment with Sheamus talking about winning tonight and the World Title on Sunday.

* Jinder Mahal defeated Vladimir Kozlov.

* Big Show comes out looking for Alberto Del Rio but gets Teddy Long instead.Long doesn't want Show hurting Del Rio if he shows up tonight and books Show in a match with Mark Henry. Show knocks Henry out with the knockout punch. Henry does an injury angle and they take him away from the ring on a stretcher.

* Tamina, Rosa Mendes and Alicia Fox beat AJ Lee, Kaitlyn and Natalya.

* Christian is upset that he has to face Sheamus in the main event.

* Another backstage segment with Johnny Curtis. He calls himself the ace in the hole and says he will debut soon.

* The Usos defeated Justin Gabriel and Heath Slater.

* Alberto Del Rio comes out and talks about winning the WWE Title is his destiny and how he isn't afraid of Big Show. Del Rio dedicates his Capitol Punishment match with Show to Ricardo Rodriguez. Big Show runs out and sends Del Rio fleeing from the ring. Del Rio looks on as Show goes crazy and tears up the ringside area.

* Christian beat Sheamus in the main event. Randy Orton was at ringside watching. Orton chases Christian off after the match and runs back down to punt Sheamus in the head to end the show.

WWE SmackDown Tapings Results - 6/10/11

Christian came to the ring for a promo. He said he was screwed out of the World Hvt. Championship. He said he doesn't want to talk to any of his Peeps again. The "You Suck" chants started. Christian invited Michael Cole to join him in the ring and then proceeded to bitch about deserving another title shot. He ripped Teddy Long, and said Long and Randy Orton disrespected him.

Ezekiel Jackson and The Uso Brothers defeated Wade Barrett, Justin Gabriel, and Heath Slater. One of the Uso's went right into the announcetable and the whole arena could hear it. Good tag work from Corre with a classic wrestling feel. Zeke dominated and Barrett headed back to the locker room. Zeke put Gabriel in the rack for the win.

Teddy Long was shown talking on the phone. Sheamus demanded a match with Christian. Instead, Long booked Randy Orton vs. Sheamus in a No DQ match and said it was going to be huge.

Justin Gabriel and Heath Slater told Wade Barrett that The Corre is finished.

Jinder Mahal defeated Trent Barreta. Great Khali helped Jinder get the win.

A.J. defeated Tamina. The crowd got behind A.J. while Tamina was dominating. A.J. hit a flying knee. Tamina had her up for a move, but A.J. caught her in a small package for the win.

Randy Orton came to the ring and called out Christian, who appeared on TitanTron and said he wants his title match. Christian says he does things on his own terms, and he wants the match at Capitol Punishment. Orton said the match is on. Christian left in a vehicle while Orton stood in the ring with his title belt. Good crowd pops for Orton.

Cody Rhodes and Ted DiBiase appeared on the big screen. Cody said he's not nuts, he's been enlightened.

Sin Cara defeated Ted DiBiase by DQ. There were some great moves, but bad spots by DiBiase. Cody's interference led to the DQ. Daniel Bryan came out to save Sin Cara. Teddy Long came out and turned it into a tag match.

Sin Cara and Daniel Bryan defeated Ted DiBiase and Cody Rhodes. Sin Cara was on fire at one point. He hit a flying cross body block through the ropes. Daniel Bryan locked in the LeBell Lock for the win.

Johnny Curtis cut a promo. He ate a potato chip and that was it. Seriously.

Sheamus defeated Randy Orton in a non-title, no disqualification match. Late in the match, Orton hit a wild backdrop onto the ring steps. Amazing spot. Sheamus pulled out a kendo stick and hit Orton with it five times. Orton hit the RKO on Sheamus. Christian ran out and ended up hitting Orton with the title belt. Sheamus ended up covering Orton for the win.

Afterward in what may have been after the cameras stopped rolling, Christian held up Orton. Sheamus went for a kick, but Orton ducked and Sheamus caught Christian with the kick. Orton RKO'd Sheamus. Cody Rhodes and Ted DiBiase ran out and took RKO's. Orton spent a lot of time with the fans afterward, which was nice to see.

WWE SmackDown Tapings Results - 6/3/11

Christian defeated Mark Henry. After the match, Christian requested to Teddy Long that he be added to the World Heavyweight Title match tonight betweenRandy Orton and Sheamus. Teddy made Christian the special referee.

* Alicia Fox and Tamina beat Kaitlyn and AJ Lee in a rematch.

* Cody Rhodes came out and talked about wanting to hurt Daniel Bryan.

* Jinder Mahal squashed Yoshi Tatsu. The Great Khali attacked Tatsu after the match.

* Another WWE Capitol Punishment promo with Obama.

* Ezekiel Jackson beats WWE IC Champion Wade Barrett by count out so he doesn't win the belt. Jackson fights Heath Slater and Justin Gabriel after the match while Barrett walked off.

* Segment with Sheamus and Christian. Sheamus is playing nice. Christian isn't falling for it and tells Sheamus he needs to focus on Randy Orton.

* Daniel Bryan beat Ted DiBiase with the LaBell Lock. Cody Rhodes came out with paper bags and teamed with DiBiase to beat Bryan down after the match. Sin Cara came out and cleared the ring for the save. Cara's entrance was botched as they hit the special effects and his music too early.

* Randy Orton beat Sheamus with the World Title on the line and Christian as special referee. Sheamus knocked Christian down early. At one point Sheamus had Orton pinned but Christian went to selling his arm from Sheamus hitting him. Orton hits a nice RKO on Sheamus for the win. After the match, Christian lays out Orton with the World Title belt to end the show.

WWE SmackDown Tapings Results - 5/27/11

 World Champion Randy Orton opens the show but is interrupted by Christian. He talks about Over the Limit and challenges Orton to another match. Sheamus and Mark Henry both interrupt. Teddy Long comes out and says the same guys are still arguing about a title shot. Christian vs. Henry vs. Sheamus is booked for tonight's main event.

* Sin Cara defeated Chavo Guerrero in their rematch from Sunday. This was better than the pay-per-view match.

* Cody Rhodes and his employees brought out more brown bags. Cody insulted the crowd until he was interrupted by Daniel Bryan to a pretty big pop from his homestate crowd.

* Daniel Bryan beat Cody Rhodes with the LaBell Lock. After the match, Cody Rhodes attacked him, layed him out with a CrossRhodes and put a brown bag over his head.

* Booker T enters the ring and invites Michael Cole in. Booker talked about Cole losing to Jerry Lawler at OTL and applauded him for apologizing on RAW. Booker wants Cole to apologize to the SmackDown fans. Booker played Cole by ducking his handshake and showing a pic of Lawler's foot in his face. Booker gave Cole mints like Lawler did on RAW.

* Backstage interview with Christian.

* Kane defeated The Great Khali. Jinder Mahal came out after the match and shoved Ranjin Singh. Khali went to help Ranjin up but ended up crushing him with the vice grip. Mahal and Khali left together.

* Ezekiel Jackson beat Heath Slater by DQ when The Corre interfered while Zeke was controlling the match.

* Backstage interview with Sheamus talking about the main event.

* Tamina and Alicia Fox beat AJ Lee and Kaitlyn, who had Natalya at their side. Alicia hit the axe kick for the win.

* Sheamus defeated Mark Henry and Christian to become the new #1 contender to Randy Orton's World Heavyweight Title.

Smackdown 5/20/11 Results *Spoilers* (Airing Friday on SyFy):

- Christian beat Sheamus by DQ. Mark Henry interfered. Randy Orton took his time, but made the save.

Cody Rhodes and Ted DiBiase came out. Cody got major heat for the paper bags when DiBiase said he represented Corpus Christi with a bag over his head.

-. Ted DiBiase beat Trent Baretta.

Ezekiel Jackson came out and then The Corre followed. Teddy Long interrupted and made a six-man tag match.

- Kane, Big Show, and Ezekiel Jackson beat The Corre in a six-man tag.

- Brie Bella beat Natalya. Bella won with the X Factor. Kharma didn’t show up, which upset the fans.

- Daniel Bryan beat Chavo Guerrero. A five minute match. Sin Cara came out and hit a huracanrana on Chavo after the Match. It looked like they were setting up Sin Cara vs. Chavo forOver the Limit 2011.

- Randy Orton beat Mark Henry by DQ. Sheamus interfered. Christian took his time before coming out and making the save.

- Randy Orton wrestled Christian to a no-contest. The match ended in interference from Sheamus and Mark Henry.

WWE SmackDown Tapings Results - 5/13/11

Christian opens the show and congratulates Randy Orton on winning the World Title. Christian talks about his rematch at Over the Limit. Sheamus and Mark Henry both come out, wanting Christian's title shot. Christian gets attacked until Orton makes the save. Sheamus and Henry vs. Orton and Christian is made for later.

* Sin Cara defeated Daniel Bryan. Once again, Chavo Guerrero was on commentary. Chavo distracted Bryan before Cara's win. Cara saw what Chavo did on the big screen and shoved him out of the ring.

* Layla came out and talked about Michelle McCool being gone. Michael Cole came out and started putting Layla down. Kharma comes out, lays out Layla and chases after Cole. Cole hides in his Cole Mine.

* Kane beat Wade Barrett by DQ when The Corre interfered. Ezekiel Jackson ran down and made the save for Kane but got beat down by The Corre.

* The Great Khali and Ranjin Singh come out for the kiss cam. Jinder Mahal comes out, smacks a cowboy hat off Khali's head and gets in his face before leaving.

* Backstage showing Christian and Randy Orton getting ready for the main event.

* Backstage segment with Wade Barrett challenging Ezekiel Jackson to a match with his title on the line at Over the Limit.

* Cody Rhodes comes out and cuts a promo and then defeats Ted DiBiase.

* Randy Orton and Christian beat Sheamus and Mark Henry in the main event. Christian got the pin to end the match, described as one of the best tag matches on SmackDown in recent memory.

WWE SmackDown Tapings Results - 5/6/11

*World champion Christian comes out and talks about winning the title at Extreme Rules. Mark Henry and Great Khali come out and demand title shots. Randy Orton then comes out and says he wants a shot too. Teddy Long comes out and says that he will let the fans decide and the fans pick Orton. Long announces Christian vs. Orton for the title tonight.

*Backstage, Khali and Ranjin Singh run into Jinder Mahal, who says that it was interesting Singh let Khali dress up in a tutu on Raw.

*Sheamus defeated Daniel Bryan in a good match.

*Backstage, the Divas approach Layla and thank her for getting rid of Michelle McCool but tell her that they haven't forgotten how she treated them. Layla says Lay-Cool is officially over and everyone is going to see a new side of her.

*Cody Rhodes comes out and discusses his match at the Extreme Rules PPV. He has bags handed out to make the crowd wear them on his head.

*Ezekiel Jackson defeated The Big Show.

*Layla defeated Alicia Fox. Kharma comes out. Layla backs away. Fox kicks her. She tries to kick Kharma again but instead eats a clothesline. Kharma nailed her with the Implant Buster. The crowd chants for another. She teases it but leaves.

*The Corre attacked Ezekiel Jackson and laid him out backstage, saying that he couldn't just leave them.

*Sin Cara defeated Tyson Kidd. Chavo Guerrero was on commentary. Chavo shakes Cara's hand after the match.

*Backstage, Todd Grisham interviews Teddy Long and asked him if he thought it was unfair Christian has to defend the World title so soon. Long said it's not about being fair, it's about giving the fans what they want. Long said that Raw had a WWE title bout the day after Extreme Rules and he's going to make Smackdown just as exciting and unpredictable.

*Randy Orton pinned Christian to win the World title.

WWE SmackDown Tapings Results - 4/29/11

SmackDown opens with Randy Orton coming out. Drew McIntyre interrupts him and gets RKO'd. Alex Riley comes out but gets RKO'd as well. Alberto Del Rio and friends come out to attack Orton but Christian makes the save.

* Teddy Long announces Christian and Orton vs. Del Rio and Brodus Clay for tonight.

* Kofi Kingston comes out next and is attacked by Sheamus.

* Segment with Michael Cole and Jack Swagger.

* Sin Cara defeated Jack Swagger.

* Kane and Big Show defeated Heath Slater and Justin Gabriel to retain the WWE Tag Titles.

* Backstage segment with Rey Mysterio and The Great Khali. Rey leaves and a large Indian man appears to talk with Khali and Ranjin Singh.

* Rey comes out and talks about leaving SmackDown and facing Cody Rhodes at Extreme Rules.

* Rey Mysterio beat Mark Henry via DQ when Cody Rhodes came out and attacked him, putting a paper bag over Rey's face. Henry just left laughing at Rey.

* Layla and Michelle McCool go to a double countout and they brawl. They will face at Extreme Rules with No DQ's, No countouts and the loser must leave SmackDown.

* Interview with Christian about winning the World Title.

* Randy Orton and Christian beat Alberto Del Rio and Brodus Clay. Orton hit the RKO in Clay for the win. Good match.

WWE SmackDown Tapings Results - 4/22/11

WWE is taping Friday’s episode of Smackdown today from the London O2 Arena in London, England. Here are the ongoing results

There's an amazing new look to the Cole Mine. Also, a stacked line-up: Corre vs. Big Show & Kane for the Tag Titles, Wade Barrett vs. Kofi Kingston for the IC Title.

Rey vs. Cody is the opening match. Awesome, must-see opening promo from Rhodes. Very clever and funny.

 Rey Mysterio beat Cody Rhodes clean. Fun match. They brawled into the crowd afterward, and then around ringside.

Next was couple's therapy with Lay-Cool. McCool attacked Layla.

 Jack Swagger beat Trent Barreta via submission with the anklelock.

Awesome Kong hype video aired next before the Tag Title match.

 Big Show & Kane beat The Corre (Heath Slater & Justin Gabriel) to capture the WWE Tag Titles. Matt checks in: fairly decent five-minute match. Ezekiel Jackson tried to get involved near the end, but Kane took care of him while Show got the pin on Slater after a chokeslam.

 Drew McIntyre beat Chris Masters. Nice little match. Bizzaro world with Drew over as a face in the U.K.

 Intercontinental champion Wade Barrett beat Kofi Kingston with assistance from the ropes to retain the IC Title.

Alberto Del Rio's retirement party for Edge was next to close the show. Comedy gold from Del Rio. Edge & Christian interrupted the party. Edge got involved, and the show ended with Christian holding the World Title belt atop a ladder (to promote Christian vs. Del Rio in a ladder match at Extreme Rules).

After the taping concluded, Christian gave a speech followed by Edge's farewell address. Great moment.
